Corrigendum

Volume 83, April 2003

Pages 475–579: DeCoursey, Thomas E. "Voltage-Gated Proton Channels and Other Proton Transfer Pathways" (http://physrev.physiology.org/cgi/content/full/83/2/475).

On p. 486, column 1, the sentence beginning on line 5 should read: "As pointed out by Deamer (225), if PH measured in biological membranes was found to be lower than in model (artificial phospholipid bilayer) membranes, then the latter would be poor models, because biological membranes may have a variety of additional transport mechanisms that would, if anything, increase H+ flux.

On p. 511, in Table 2. Proposed proton pathways through various molecules, the second line from the bottom should read:

"CA III and CA V BH -> H2O -> H2O -> (H2O)n -> H2O -> E-Zn-OH-"

The legend to the table should include the following reference: CA III (1020).
